Tucked beneath the rugged peaks of the San Juans, the Adobe Inn was more than a place to stay—it was Ridgway’s refuge. A warm adobe building with a crackling fire inside, margaritas on the patio, and the kind of welcoming energy that made you want to linger a little longer.

Joyce and Terre Bucknam ran it for over 30 years, and you could feel the love they poured into it. Artists, hikers, locals, families—everyone found a place there. It wasn’t about being fancy. It was about being real.

The Adobe Inn closed in 2019. Now, with care and intention, it’s time to bring it back—to honor what it was and invite in what it can be. A place for connection, creativity, and a kind of mountain hospitality that’s hard to find these days.
